The LDIF for the databases must be cleaned of all ODSEE specific attributes. As ODSEE does not do any type of data validation, any non-schema conformant attribute values must be fixed. All entries that have invalid objectClass chains must be fixed.Older LDAP server software continues to support “Lax” SCHEMA checking. OpenLDAP does “STRICT” SCHEMA checking. This means the directory’s data definitions and entries will need to be modified to bring them into compliance with both OpenLDAP-provided and local SCHEMA definitions.
ACIs must be converted to ACLs. Since ACIs and ACLs have different feature sets, this can take several iterations
The configuration options that map between ODSEE and OpenLDAP need to be configured appropriately
If replication is going to be used, then the replication type (Multi-provider or single provider) must be configured
Any custom schema in use must be converted to the OpenLDAP schema format
