If your slapd configuration uses ’set’ ACLs (see slapd.access(5) for further information) there is a good chance your slapd process is leaking memory. This would result in the slapd process consuming all available memory in the system and eventually causing it to become unresponsive. A fix for this problem will be available this week in Symas OpenLDAP 2.3.42.1 (CDS 3.10.1). If you are a subscriber and have additional questions, please send email to support@symas.com.
