Call For Papers
The International Conference on LDAP is a technical forum for IT professionals interested in LDAP and related topics like directory servers, directory management applications, directory integration, identity and access management, and meta directories.
It focuses on implementation and integration of LDAP servers and LDAP-enabled client applications. The event will bring together vendors, developers, active and prospective LDAP practitioners to share their experiences about deployment strategies, service operations, interoperability, discuss LDAP usage in new projects and learn about upcoming trends and developments.

You are involved with LDAP in interesting projects?
- You do LDAP client development?
- You have used LDAP like no-one before?
- You have innovative concepts in LDAP Integration?
Why not share your experiences, good and bad, with others?
We are looking for speakers who ae willing to talk about:
- the specific problems they ran into
- and how they solved them or not,
- current best practices for directory design,
- their LDAP-enabled products,
- new LDAP-related new standards and implementation efforts,
- operational aspects, such as maintenance, backups, monitoring,
- directory management applications
- new open source project using LDAP,
- security aspects such as access control,
- directory deployment for provisioning and resource management,
- client development,
- how to develop LDAP applications with various programming languages,
- identity management and federation,
- PKI and LDAP,
- LDAP and Policy
- LDAP and XML.
The accepted talks will be grouped into a development, an administration and a product presentation track.
Talk Submissions
Presentations should last about 45 minutes including discussion; in exceptional cases 90 minute slots may be allotted.
The one and only way to submit your abstract (plain ASCII text, approximately 200-800 words, accompanied by your biography of about 100-300 words) is via email to mheyman@symas.com (for now).
Abstracts need to be in to the Program Committee by July 8th, 2009.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the program committee.
For the conference proceedings we expect you to submit a paper (no slides, please) of approximately 2-10 pages (A4 or US Letter format, 1" borders, no page headers/footers, preferably LaTeX source or PDF). By submitting a paper you grant the conference organizers the non-exclusive right to publish your paper in the conference proceedings; you maintain the right to publish it elsewhere at your discretion.
Expenses
On request we will cover the speaker's accomodation and participation costs at the conference, including the social event.
Travel expenses are generally not covered by us; if this poses a problem to you, please contact us so we can try to arrange an additional sponsorship.
