This version of CDS is a fully functional LDAP v3 directory server streamlined for simplicity of setup and administration. Based on OpenLDAP 2.2.26, CDS Silver includes a high-performance transaction-oriented database (Sleepycat's Berkeley Data Base) that can be backed up while the server is running and performs automatic transaction recovery after power failures or system crashes. CDS Silver also includes support for secure authentication methods (SASL and SSL), encryption, and replication. It is a good choice for individuals and organizations with straightforward directory needs.
