High-performance LDAP Directory Services closely based on OpenLDAP and other Open Source software

Connexitor Directory Services™ (CDS) contains everything you need to set up and maintain high-performance, robust, and secure LDAP directory services on a variety of platforms. Delivered as a set of compiled and tested binaries, CDS installs using native OS installation tools.

CDS is built from and includes major components from recent versions of the following Open Source distributions:

• OpenLDAP
• Berkeley DB
• OpenSSL
• Cyrus SASL

CDS also includes selected enhancements developed by Symas, such as substring index tuning, inequality indexing for GeneralizedTime, audit logging, and more. These enhancements will be released as part of OpenLDAP v2.3, but are available now in CDS.

Connexitor Directory Services is available in three different tiers:

• CDS Silver is the basic Connexitor Directory Services platform, intended for simple deployments where cost is a significant factor. This version of CDS is a fully functional LDAP v3 directory server streamlined for simplicity of setup and administration. It includes a high-performance transaction-oriented database that can be backed up while the server is running and performs automatic transaction recovery after power failures or system crashes. CDS Silver also includes support for secure authentication methods, encryption, and replication. It is a good choice for organizations that have straightforward directory needs and need the security features provided by SASL and SSL.CDS Silver is available for free download for personal and commercial use and does not include any Symas support or maintenance services. An optional support, maintenance, and update annual subscription plan is available.
• CDS Gold is the middle tier of CDS. Besides everything in CDS Silver, it also includes a collection of modules, many of them developed by Symas, that implement functions such as password policy management, attribute uniqueness, referential integrity, database translucency, attribute constraints, and more. CDS Gold also includes the database connectivity backends back-ldap and back-meta. This version of CDS is intended for organizations that have sophisticated LDAP directory needs or are replacing an existing directory infrastructure. CDS Gold is available under an annual support, maintenance, and update subscription.
• CDS Platinum contains the same features as CDS Gold, but is optimized for deployments that will employ millions of objects. CDS Platinum is certified to work with object databases containing upwards of 25 million entries, and is the solution of choice for organizations needing this type of scaling. CDS Platinum is available under an annual support, maintenance, and update subscription.
